Abstract

Background:
Type 2 diabetes is a growing public health concern, driven by lifestyle changes, urbanization, and genetic predisposition. This study examines key factors contributing to the rising prevalence of diabetes globally.

Methods:
A systematic review of population health data, dietary patterns, and socioeconomic determinants is conducted to assess diabetes risk factors.

Results:
The study finds a strong link between increasing sedentary lifestyles, processed food consumption, and diabetes prevalence. Genetic predisposition also plays a role, particularly among certain ethnic groups.

Conclusion:
Preventive measures such as public health education, improved dietary policies, and community-based interventions are essential to curb the rising diabetes epidemic.
