Abstract

Abstract

Background:
The emergence of antibiotic-resistant infections presents a severe challenge to global healthcare systems, particularly in hospital settings where vulnerable patients are at higher risk. This study explores the epidemiological trends of antibiotic-resistant infections and their impact on patient outcomes.

Methods:
Using retrospective hospital data and surveillance reports from multiple countries, this study employs statistical modeling and case-control analysis to assess resistance patterns.

Results:
Findings suggest an increasing trend in multidrug-resistant bacterial infections, with significant regional variations influenced by antibiotic prescribing patterns, infection control practices, and healthcare infrastructure disparities.

Conclusion:
This study highlights the urgent need for improved antibiotic stewardship programs, stricter infection control measures, and coordinated global efforts to mitigate the rise of antibiotic-resistant infections in healthcare settings.
